Small Equipment & Active Wear

We regularly use small equipment in our Pilates classes. Keeps it fun AND helps you build strength and balance.

The most important thing you'll need is your mat. Select something like this, that's a little thicker and more comfortable.

Pilates small ball: Challenge balance, coordination and to bring extra focus during an exercise. Sign up for a free "FitPlus" account with the Physical Company to get 15% off.

Magic circle: aka the ring of torture: Adds "weight" and instability to exercises.

Resistance bands: Grab a 2m long, medium strength band and loops will help add some extra resistance to exercises.

If you want some small weights, 0.5kg or 1kg for are best for Pilates

The Foam Roller is one of my faves for getting everyone wobbling like Weebles! Sign up for a free "FitPlus" account with the Physical Company to get 15% off.

Sliders are another "fun" toy. I say "fun".....

If active wear's your thing, check out the softest, most comfortable leggings around from Skimmed Milk. Use the code JANEARLOW for 20% off your first purchase!

Wanna stretch?

Everyone benefits from stretching and releasing their muscles.

I LOVE lacrosse balls! Keep one under your desk and roll your feet over it during the day; or use them against a wall for tight shoulders & neck. Check out this blog too!

Want to get into the bigger muscles? My fave for this is a Triggerpoint foam roller
